Welcome to From The Fringe, a feminist lifestyle blog for opinionated people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
The person behind the fringe is Suzy, a twenty-eight-year-old feminist with a penchant for nail varnish and sloths. By day I work for a charity, surrounded by people who allow me to be the joyful and silly person I am naturally wont to be. You’ll quickly find out that this often spills out into the blog.
A bit about the blog…
From the Fringe is the place where all of my passions collide to hopefully create a joyous explosion of feminist feistiness, opinionated goodness, and just a smidgen of creative writing for good measure. Although there is certainly a lot of serious writing here, From The Fringe is also home to the day-to-day occurrences which bring me happiness and enrich my life.
I have been a blogger for six years now (yeah, that’s right, I started back when it wasn’t even cool) but I recently felt that I had outgrown my previous work. Since I’m hurtling towards adulthood at an alarming rate, I thought it only fitting that my blog be capable of making that journey with me. Thus, From The Fringe was born!
A bit about the author…
I live in a beautiful house on the canal and have a tendency to over-indulge the other two occupants of my sunny dwelling; my partner of ten years, Greg, and our furry little feline, Juno. That’s because I’m the kind of person who will encourage you to make yourself at home by eating all of the contents of my fridge and then offer you a bed for the night should you be completely incapacitated by the sheer amount of food you’ve consumed. Frankly, it’s a wonder that my friends and family have managed to maintain any semblance of a healthy weight with me around.
I love sloths, bargains, pyjama days, beautiful smelling candles, and any social event that involves eating good food. On the other hand, I detest wasps, being made to go outside in the rain, and any sort of injustice.
Extra bits and pieces:
One final little thing you should know about me is that I currently run an online magazine with my best friend, Beth, called The Olive Fox. It’s a wonderful little hive of health and happiness and the site has already managed to win Highly Commended at the 2016 UK Blog Awards. We’re very proud of our little community there, as well as our brilliant writers, so why not go and check it out? If From The Fringe is up your street, The Olive Fox is likely to be your kind of thing too!
I also write for other publications and bloggers from time to time and you can find these extra posts in my Other Work section.
Let’s be friends!
If you like to chat as much as I do (and I so hope that’s the case) then I’d love to hear from you! I’m easy to get hold of so ping me an email at: email@example.com or find me at one of my social media haunts, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest.
